If you are the spouse or defacto partner of a New Zealand citizen (who is not an eligible New Zealand citizen), and you are not a New Zealand Citizen yourself, you may be eligible to apply for NZ family relationship (subclass 461) visa. This visa allows you to reside in Australia alongside your New Zealand citizen family member, who either holds or is eligible for a Special Category (subclass 444) visa.

The visa is granted for five years, with the ability to extend onshore if you continue to meet the eligibility criteria. You are able to include any eligible dependent children in this visa application.
