Prospective Marriage Visa (subclass TO300)

This temporary visa allows you to travel to Australia to marry your fiancé(e), who are either an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.

To be eligible you must

  • be sponsored by your prospective spouse (or another eligible sponsor)
  • be at least 18 years of age
  • have personally met and know your prospective spouse
  • meet health and character requirements

 

Once you are granted this visa, you are required come to Australia and marry your fiancé(e) which must take place within nine months of the visa grant date. Subsequently, you will become eligible to apply for a Partner visa (subclasses 820 and 801) before the expiry of your Prospective Marriage visa (subclass 300).
